Good fit
Choose the Arctis Nova 5X if you play across several supported systems and want one headset for Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch and mobile devices.
The USB-C dongle and Bluetooth switching suit setups where gaming and phone audio both matter.
It also suits players who value long intervals between charges and want game-specific presets in a companion app. The retractable microphone and on-headset controls add practical touches for voice chat and everyday adjustments.

Arctis Nova 5X Review: Wireless Flexibility for Multi-Platform Play
A useful fit for mixed-device gaming
The platform range is the clearest reason to consider the Nova 5X.
Xbox, PC, PlayStation and Switch support is joined by Meta Quest, phones and tablets, so it can suit households or players who move between a console and other devices. The compact USB-C dongle is central to that flexibility.
Wireless switching for play and phone audio
The headset pairs 2.4GHz gaming with Bluetooth 5.3 and a button-based quick switch.
That setup gives players a straightforward way to move between gaming and a phone call or media, with incoming-call notification beeps as an additional cue while gaming.
Battery life and charging routine
A 60-hour battery makes the Nova 5X suitable for players who prefer fewer charging breaks.
USB-C fast charging can provide six hours of use in 15 minutes, which may help when a session is approaching and the headset needs a quick top-up.
Presets and physical controls
The companion app provides more than 100 game audio presets, while headset buttons cover power, mute, volume, ChatMix and Quick-Switch.
Buyers who like adjusting audio by game can explore the app, and those who want common controls close at hand have several adjustments on the headset itself.

Is Arctis Nova 5X Worth It?
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X is worth considering for multi-platform players who want wireless switching, app-based game presets and long battery life in one headset.
